SFO ✈️ BCN
It’s been almost 4 years that I’m in San Francisco, and it’s time for new adventures. I’m excited to announce that I’ll move to Barcelona with my family in a few weeks, after a quick stop in Belgium.
Instaply is opening a new subsidiary in the capital of Catalonia and it’s a great opportunity for me to take part in our growth efforts in Europe.
Not the ugliest place on earth.
Moving to San Francisco was a huge step forward in my career and in my life. I’ll never regret having made that choice. I learned lots of things, opened my mind to new ideas and changed for the better. I also met the greatest and the smartest people, some of them will be my friends for the rest of my life.
However, moving there never felt like a permanent decision, for various reasons, including the extreme cost of life (it’s now cheaper to rent a French castle than an apartment in SF) and the remoteness with the family.
I’ll always have a special connection with California and San Francisco in particular. So many good things happened to me while I was here, the most important one being my daughter’s birth 16 months ago, the happiest moment of my life so far. Nevertheless, I’m the opposite of sad because I know the best is yet to come!
Europe, here I come (back)!
